About the Secretary of the Faculty and Academic Staff

The functions of the Secretary of the Faculty and Academic Staff can be grouped in three broad categories:

  • Coordinating and facilitating faculty and academic staff governance consistent with all applicable Institution and System policies, codes and regulations;

  • Recording, compiling, publicizing and preserving the products of faculty and academic staff governance, including governance handbooks, curriculum, policy documents, reports and recommendations; and

  • Serving as a knowledgeable resource person for faculty, academic staff and administration regarding policies, procedures, and perspectives pertaining to faculty and academic staff as well as campus governance; policy documents, reports and recommendations.
