Dr. Ruegg is a native of the Upper Peninsula of MI and received both the BS and DVM from Michigan State University. After beginning her career in private practice in Wisconsin, she attended the University of California - Davis, completing a residency in Food Animal Herd Health and Reproductive Management and receiving a Masters of Preventive Veterinary Medicine. Since leaving Davis, she has been a faculty member specializing in dairy herd management at Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada, an extension veterinarian in the College of Veterinary Medicine at MSU and a technical services veterinarian for the Monsanto Company. She is currently an associate professor and extension milk quality specialist at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Dr. Ruegg has delivered numerous presentations throughout the world on milk quality, dairy herd problem solving and other topics. She is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine and the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners - Dairy Practice. Dr. Ruegg resides in Madison, WI with her husband Keith Morgen and sons Samuel and Lucas.
Dr. Ruegg is an active participant in numerous MRIL research projects and instructional programs.
