William Harvey

Named President and Chief Operating Officer in 2004, Bill Harvey has been with Alliant Energy-Wisconsin Power and Light Co. (WP&L) since 1986, holding successive positions as Vice President and Associate General Counsel, General Counsel, Vice President-Natural Gas and General Counsel, Senior Vice President, Executive Vice President-Generation. Alliant Energy provides electricity, natural gas and energy-related products and services to more than three million customers around the world. Prior to joining WP&L, Harvey was in private practice as a principal with the law firm of Wheeler, Van Sickle, Anderson, Norman, and Harvey, S.C.
Harvey serves on the boards of the American Transmission Co., Wisconsin Utilities Association, and Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. His community involvement includes serving on the board of the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce and the Executive Committee of the Dane County Economic Summit Council.
His bachelor's degree in economics and law degree are from UW-Madison.
