Joseph N. Maehl

CEO (retired) and Founder Laminations Corp. (Neenah)

Joseph Maehl, founder and retired Chief Executive Officer of Laminations Corp., has a distinguished record of public service, especially at the county and regional level. For the past 26 years, he has been on the Winnebago County Board of Supervisors, serving as Chair for the past 14 years. Other public service positions he has held include President of the Industrial Development Board, Chair of the Land Conservation Committee, State Chair of the Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, First Vice President and Board member of the Wisconsin Counties Association, Member of the Winnebago County Legislative Committee, and President of the Winnebago County Industrial Development Board.

Maehl's service contributions to the University of Wisconsin include serving on the UW-Extension's Board of Visitors (1996-98), UW Colleges Board of Visitors, UW Colleges-Fox Valley's Board of Trustees, Long-Range Development Committees for UW-Oshkosh and UW Colleges-Fox Valley, and the UW Board of Regents' Study of the UW System in the 21st Century.

A trumpeter who played with the Tommy Dorsey Band, Maehl is President of Local 182 of the American Federation of Musicians, Neenah-Menasha-Appleton.

Maehl attended the University of Chicago and the University of California at Berkeley. He and his wife, Patty, reside in Neenah. They have nine children, 24 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
