The Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) Next Generation internship is designed for students currently enrolled in their second year or above of a two or four year college, and is meant to prepare students of color, and those from other groups underrepresented in the media industry, for a successful career in public media. The successful candidate will work in one of three focus areas: Production, Marketing & Engagement, or Development.
The intern will receive regular and concentrated coaching on writing, editing, and other aspects of Television production, marketing, or development, receiving more project responsibility as professional growth is demonstrated. The 4-H Program Coordinator is an employee of the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension, within the Department of Youth, Family & Community Development and the Youth & Family Institute. The 4-H Coordinator is also a primary member of the Center for Wisconsin 4-H. If appropriate and desired, 4-H Coordinators can affiliate with other Cooperative Extension centers in order to best address the programmatic focus of the position.
The Coordinator leads and manages the full range of the 4-H Youth Development programs including community clubs, after school programs, educational events and camps for a given geographic area. The 4-H Coordinators will respond to local needs, and will provide a connection to the broader University of Wisconsin research, education, and outreach resources.
This position will be expected to build and maintain relationships with the Hmong and Hispanic/Latina/o communities and agencies who serve this public in Eau Claire County. The coordinator will also be expected to create and implement a plan of action to develop a sustainable, linguistically and culturally relevant youth development program within traditionally underserved communities.

The Curriculum & Evaluation Specialist provides support for the evaluation of outreach & educational programs in areas of natural resources. The position is part of Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center which works to improve and demonstrate the value of environmental programs. The primary purpose of this position is to design and carry out various evaluations primarily involving survey methodology and data analysis of Upham Woods environmental education programming. Further, this position will develop curriculum and training materials for staff to implement the improvement of programs based upon evaluation. This position works closely with the Environmental Education State Specialist Faculty and the Upham Woods Research Naturalist team.

The Upham Woods Conservation Program Coordinator’s primary purpose is to support the Environmental Education State Specialist Faculty of Upham Woods’ programming and outreach duties and duties are split between providing conservation program support (50%) and ensuring the Center operates its service projects and related partnerships in an efficient manner (50%). The Program Coordinator assists Upham Woods administrative personnel in the training, mentoring and the evaluation of teaching naturalists and assists with program coordination and development. The position is also responsible for teaching classes, leading programmatic activities, interacting with center clientele to meet their needs, and coordination of programmatic technology equipment. All of the above is to be done with a focus on customer service and effective educational methods in a safe environment.
