A letter from UW-Extension Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Aaron Brower, Ph.D.:
Wherever you live or work, from pre-K to gray, the University of Wisconsin-Extension serves you. We extend the University of Wisconsin resources to help residents and their leaders address their most vexing challenges. That's the Wisconsin Idea and also why we're supporting the University of Wisconsin System 2020FWD framework to inspire, connect, and convene with the people, businesses, and communities of the State of Wisconsin.
We grow people by offering access to degrees and inspiring youth to consider education and careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
We educate new parents and newly elected officials, we build community leaders through 4-H and adult leadership training, we provide continuing education courses on UW campuses, and we deliver education and contribute to the exchange of ideas through Wisconsin Public Television and Wisconsin Public Radio.
We build job skills and help grow jobs through training, networking and resources for entrepreneurs, small business owners, sustainable business managers, farmers and workers in agriculture and other fields; and we provide leadership to expand the broadband access vital for competition in a global economy.
We strengthen communities through programs including those to prevent foreclosures, support military families, create community gardens, monitor groundwater, respond to flooding, expand broadband access, attract businesses and retain young people.
Through UW-Extension, your contributions help transform lives and communities. We thank you for your support.
