Driving directions
from Minneapolis or La Crosse (via I-90/94) plot this route
Exit I-90/94 at U.S. 151 south/E. Washington Avenue. Follow E. Washington Avenue for about 5 miles to Capitol Square. As you approach the state capitol building, you will see signs for the UW campus. Following the signs will direct you around the central capitol area and onto Wisconsin Avenue. Take Wisconsin Avenue across Johnson Street and take the next left onto W. Gorham Street which eventually runs into University Avenue, a four-lane one-way that bisects the campus. Take a right turn on Lake Street, the Extension building is on the left side of the street.

Where I-94 intersects with I-90, follow the signs for route 30 into Madison. Exit route 30 at E. Washington Avenue and go left (west) on E. Washington following it for about 3 miles to Capitol Square. As you approach the state capitol building, you will see signs for the UW campus. Following the signs will direct you around the central capitol area and onto Wisconsin Avenue. Take Wisconsin Avenue across Johnson Street and take the next left onto W. Gorham Street which eventually runs into University Avenue, a four-lane one-way that bisects the campus. Take a right turn on Lake Street, the Extension building is on the left side of the street.

Exit I-90 at U.S. 12/18 west and follow 12/18 for 3 miles to the Park Street exit. Go right on Park Street (north) and continue on Park Street. Take a right on Johnson St. and the next left on Lake Street. The Extension building is on your left.
from Dubuque (via U.S. 151) plots this route
After passing below the Madison Beltline (U.S. 12) veer to the left onto Midvale Boulevard. Follow Midvale Boulevard for about 3.5 miles where it eventually comes to a T-intersection at University Avenue Take a right onto University Avenue and follow it until it merges into Campus Drive. Stay on Campus Drive as it enters the campus and becomes Johnson Avenue, a four-lane one-way. Take a left on Lake Street, the Extension building is on your left.
from Green Bay/Fox Valley (via U.S. 151) plot this route
After passing below I-90/94, U.S. 151 becomes E. Washington Avenue. Follow E. Washington Avenue for about 5 miles to Capitol Square. As you approach the state capitol building, you will see signs for the UW campus. Following the signs will direct you around the central capitol area and onto Wisconsin Avenue. - (608-257-5593 or 800-747-0994) also provides daily round-trip service between campus and Chicago's O'Hare Airport and the downtown Amtrak station.
* The Greyhound/Badger depot is located several blocks from the eastern edge of campus.

Dane County Regional Airport, on Madison's northeast side, provides regional and national air service to and from Madison.
