##EauClaire County will be hosting a Junior Showmanship Workshop on May 17, 2008 for details contact Dawne Bisek atkonaire@hotmail.com
##Eau Claire County will also hold a 4-H Agility Funmatch the afternoon of June 14 at the Eau Claire County Expo Center - be there by noon.

### A 4-H Invitational Fun Match is now scheduled in Lacrosse @ Family Dog Center on  Sat. May 31—Obedience/Rally & Agility.  Lacrosse, Trempleau, Vernon, Eau Claire, Monroe  in WI (any other close by ones that you would recommend), Winona, Fillmore & Houson-MN counties and few in Iowa.  I will be looking for judges, helpers, food stand etc.  Anyone interested in helping should contact Family Dog Center 608-779-3647  I will try to get a flyer put together by the end of week to pass out to the counties and have posted on websites.  The kids will have an opportunity to compete with their dogs in a fun atmosphere for prizes (toys, treats etc) in addition to their county fairs!  Good warm-up prior to fairs.

The third annual Western District 4-H Dog Show will take place on Saturday, August 16 at Recreation Park in Tomah. 4-H dog project members from all counties are welcome to enter.
4-H members will have the opportunity to enter obedience, showmanship and agility competitions. The entry fee is $10.00 per dog.
Entries are due by July 15th. Obtain a show catalog from your 4-H Youth Development Agent, by contacting the Monroe County Extension Office (608) 269 – 8722, by email handjmenn@centurytel.net or on the web at at the Monroe County website http://www.uwex.edu/ces/cty/monroe/4h.html

Agility Guidelines
Guidelines for Dog Agility Programs -
These Guidelines will be used at the State 4-H Dog Agility Event. These are suggested guidelines for counties to use in their own programs. However, as in other projects, counties have the right to design their own programs. These guidelines will be used at the March 29 training. Updates were made after the January Workshop according to suggestions made by the participants of the January Agility Workshop - Thanks to the participants for your suggestions.

Outagamie County will be hosting a 2008 Dog Project Training Workshop in November of 2008. It is proposed to include Obedience and Showmanship - Saturday, Nov. 2, 2008 for the State 4-H dog workshop at Winnegamie Dog Club

A new State 4-H Agility Competition will be held next year - in September of 2008 and hosted by EauClaire County - Watch for details.
