Procedure for Reserving Dates for Group Visits

Dates for bringing a group to Upham Woods are usually reserved 6-12 months prior to a visit. Upham Woods mails an application to past Fall/Winter/Spring users in February to reserve dates for the following Fall, Winter and Spring. Upham Woods makes an effort to honor all requests received by the application return deadline. Groups will be notified of their Fall, Winter and/or Spring dates as soon as possible.

Each Spring, 4-H Summer Camp applications are emailed to county 4-H staff that use Upham Woods to reserve dates for the Summer of the following year. Counties are notified of their future summer dates in the Fall.

September - May weekend dates can be reserved at any time and for an infinite number of years in advance.

Reserving Dates on a Space Available Basis for Group Visits

After groups have reserved dates using the procedure described above, open dates can be reserved on a space available basis. Use the following calendar to determine what dates are "OPEN" to schedule a group visit to Upham Woods. Dates that are "Full" already have a large group or multiple groups and are not available to schedule a visit. Dates that are "Possible" have either a small group, limited staff availability, a group that is departing that morning or a group that is arriving in the afternoon or evening. Dates listed as "Training" and "Closed" are not available to schedule a visit.

Once available dates are found, you may contact Upham Woods at (608) 254-6461 or email Steff Merten, Program Coordinator, at stefanie.merten@ces.uwex.edu to confirm these dates or just proceed with completing the online reservation request. A completed application and a deposit of $100 per night stayed or $50 per day visit is required to hold dates.

Individuals that wish to reserve day meeting rooms should contact Upham Woods to determine availability as this calendar is NOT intended to show availability for Day Meeting Room reservations.
