MISSION
UW-Extension 4-H Youth Development integrates research, education,
and community-based partnerships, enabling youth to learn and
practice skills to be productive citizens.
4-H is a volunteer-led organization that reaches boys and girls
through small groups called clubs. 4-H members decide for themselves
which projects they want to learn more about. Membership in a 4-H Club allows a young person to develop the skills and confidence that will guide him through life and help mold him into an active member of the community.
4-H has come a long way -- today the club emphasizes the development of a civic-minded attitude with special care given to personal growth. Today's youth will ultimately become tomorrow's adult leaders and 4-H's goal is to help prepare them to run the community for the next generation.
4-H in Iowa County is open to any youth currently enrolled in
school through one year out of high school.
