Summer brings longer days, green grass and growing gardens. It also brings out some difficult weeds and insects. If you find yourself in need of information about plants, gardening, insects, or weeks, UW-Extension can assist. Patti Windberg, a Master Gardener volunteer, has been hired as our Horticulture Assistant and will be on hand to answer hortculture-type questions. She will be housed at the Oconto County UW-Extension office, located in building B on the third floor of the courthouse in Oconto. Feel free to call theoffice at 920-834-6852, or stop by with a sample. She will be available to answer questinos and identify plants and insects every Wednesday and Friday now through late August.

Feeling Stretched? Perhaps you can benefit from Powerful Tools for Caregivers. Because we recognize that caring for others is not only rewarding, but at times stressful, this 6-week course is designed for family caregivers and will cover: taking care of YOU; identifying and reducing personal stress; communicating feelings,needs and concerns; communicating in challenging situations; learning from our emotions; mastering caregiving decisions.
