Website Helps Gardeners Choose Vegetable Varieties
Cornell's newest Citizen Science in Horticulture project website makes it easy for gardeners to compare varieties and become more aware of the wide diversity of varieties that are available. Gardeners can search or browse for more than 2,000 varieties, view details for each including how long they take to mature, and find links to seed companies that sell the variety. Gardeners may share what they've learned and rate and review particular varieties. The site also includes links to other Cornell gardening resources, including online growing guides for more than 60 garden crops.

Invasive Species
Invasive species are a concern for Wisconsin's waterways, wetlands, prairies, and woodlands. Invasive species are very aggressive in their establishment and are able to out compete native species for essential water, sunlight, and nutrients. Control, awareness, and education are important to keep them out of Wisconsin's natural ecosystems. Join us in keeping Wisconsin beautiful!
