EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES (Updated 6/10/08)

Waukesha County U. W. Extension has openings for three Year Round Americorp Vista Members in the areas of 4-H Youth Development, Juvenile Justice and Community Education. Any graduates or college students taking a year off with majors of interest in (but not limited to): marketing, communications, education, public relations, social work, public administration, criminal justice, English, Spanish, gender studies, human development/family studies or psychology they would be excellent candidates.

We are asking applicants to send in a resume, fill out linked short form, and fill out the on line application on the Americorp website  - www.americorps.org.

Horticulture Helpline
(262-548-7779) -- A free phone service for callers to speak with someone regarding plant, bug or soil questions. Telephone hours for the Horticulture Helpline during the summer are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon (limited winter hours).

Master Gardening

Master Gardener Program -- Waukesha County teams up with Milwaukee County to provide education, training, and volunteer opportunities for those who want to become a Master Gardener. Master Gardeners volunteer time to gardening opportunities and projects in return for receiving horticultural training.
