WHO IS CWAS ? - Central Wisconsin Agricultural Specialization

Due to the technological
advances and the ever changing world of agriculture, producers
and agribusiness clientele are becoming more specialized with
a need for more detailed information. UW-Extension staff
need to accommodate growers and agribusiness needs in order to
deliver quality, educational programming. Therefore, seven
counties in central Wisconsin have formed the Central Wisconsin
Agricultural Specialization team.
The Central Wisconsin
Agricultural Specialization effort include the counties of
Portage, Wood, Adams, Waushara, Green Lake, Marquette, and Juneau.
Each county agricultural agent is taking on a specialization,
from dairy, forage, agronomic crops, horticultural crops to financial
management.
The Central Wisconsin
Agricultural Specialization Team feels that this specialization
will allow us to provide organized and specific educational events
across Central Wisconsin. Furthermore, specialization will
allow us to aid growers in becoming more profitable and competitive
in today's global market.
