Youth water education materials are plentiful and vary greatly in content, scope and quality. So it's not
always easy for educators to choose materials that meet their goals. A National Review Team chose the
curricula listed in the Educating Young People About Water database. The Team identified nine key
water topics and a set of important subtopics to add detail for the process of reviewing the curricula
and for the educator to use to find appropriate choices to meet their needs. Please note that in
reviewing the curricula, the Team only looked at whether the topics were present in the activities and
information; they did not evaluate the quality or relevance to a particular topic.

- Instructional Format -The National Review Team outlined instructional formats that are important
