Is e-learning e-mentia?
|Presenter||Dr. Michael Allen, Allen Interactions|
|Abstract||Posed after working with 15 e-learning experts to create the 2009 e-Learning Annual, this question serves as the focus of Michael’s keynote address. In his latest annual, described by reviewer Matthew Jones as “…a good ‘kick-in-the-pants’ for e-learning professionals...”, Michael has probed and questioned current practices and searched for ways to improve future e-learning. In his address, Michael will summarize his scan of research and practice in the field. He will explain and illustrate four resulting axioms for the development of future e-learning: (1) be introspective, (2) build on context, (3) motivate learners, and (4) provide sufficient practice.|
