General Information for Roundtable Discussion Presenters

Roundtable Discussion format:
Roundtable Discussions give facilitators the opportunity to discuss a relevant topic in an informal small group setting. During these 45-minute discussions, the facilitator and the participants interact to share their ideas and perspectives. The discussion facilitator will:
- Introduce the topic
- Encourage participation
- Guide the interchange of ideas
- Flow with participants' needs
Submit handout:
We require that each Roundtable Discussion provides a handout to attendees at the conference. We also request a copy to include in our Web Resource Library.

- Create handout
- OPTIONAL: Email handout to Conference Drop Box (distel2@education.wisc.edu) by July 15. In SUBJECT LINE, please write Roundtable Discussion Session_(insert presenter’s last name); Example: Roundtable Discussion Session_Peterson.
- Bring 20 copies of the handout to the conference.
Registration:
- One presenter per discussion will receive a discount of $125 off the standard registration fee.
- No other conference discount may be applied.
- All presenters must register for the conference by June 1.
- Online registration starts in May, so we will send a reminder at that time with a link and instructions to register.
Standard room set-up:
- Five round tables with 10 chairs each and table sign
- No audiovisual equipment or tech support; this is a "no tech" or "unplugged" discussion
- Presenters must provide own computers if essential to discussion; electrical outlet NOT available
