This 2005 pubilcation has been produced by the e-Learning strategy unit of the British Department for Education and Skills. According to the Executive Summary, the report identifies the "need a more strategic approach to the future development of ICT in education, skills and children's service." Sizing the Opportunity: The Quality and Extent of Online Education in the United States, 2002 and 2003 [pdf]
This report from September 2003 "was designed to find answers to some key questions related specifically to online education delivered by higher education institutions in the United States. Some of the key findings: "A majority of academic leaders (57 percent) already believe that the learning outcomes for online education are equal to or superior to those of face-to-face instruction." The Teacher's Guide was written by Dr. Ann Barron, Florida Center for Instructional Technology College of Education, University of South Florida. It is divided into 12 chapters and includes references and a glossary. Chapters address areas such as applications and available technologies. -

From the Annual Conference on Distance Teaching and Learning, this is a Shared Space of resources developed 'after the conference' and is intended as a year-round resource for researchers and communities of best practices. Included are links to conference proceedings papers and handouts available for information sessions. Teaching With Technology Today
The Teaching with Technology Today project consists of a web-based newsletter and a companion listserv where members discuss technology, pedagogy, and student learning. Users may browse the web site by academic discipline, title or date of publication. TTT strives to represent a broad range of disciplines, a variety of technologies and levels of technological integration, and the full range of University of Wisconsin System campuses. TTT was instigated by the UW Learning Technology Development Council; it receives significant support from UW-Extension's Division of Continuing Education. -
