The Instructional Technology Council (ITC) list of grant programs includes some application deadlines and highlights new links added within the past 30 days. The comprehensive listing includes not only links to individual grants, but resources to other lists of funding opportunities. -

The American Distance Education Consortium (ADEC) provides this linked listing of a variety of grants available to those pursuing projects relating to distance education. Dozens of organizations, foundations and governmental agencies are listed, categorized by topic areas. -
The Foundation Center: Finding Funders
The Foundation Center collects, organizes, and communicates information on U.S. philanthropy; conducts and facilitates research on trends in the field; provides education and training; and ensures public access to information and services through its web site, print and electronic publications, five library/learning centers, and a national network of cooperating collections. Tools and search options in the Finding Funders section lead to contact information and other sources. The Foundation Center library has also created many Reference Guides to assist in the use of their collection. -
Funders Online
Funders Online is an initiative of the European Foundation Centre Orpheus Programme. Orpheus, the information and communications programme of the EFC, provides a public record and a public information service on foundations and corporate funders active in Europe. The site provides guidance on and practical tips on how to research independent funders. Funders Online operates from the European Foundation Centre in Brussels. -

Grants.gov
This site allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all Federal grant-making agencies. A "Get Started" checklist helps potential applicants throught the process required for grant submissions. Grants.gov is the single location to find hundreds of grant programs offered by the 26 U.S. Federal grant-making agencies. -
Grants and Awards
The GPO (Government Printing Office) maintains a comprehensive listing of U.S. federally funded grants and awards, and includes links to the Federal Register, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and other government agency information. All topics areas (not just distance education) are included. -
NEA Foundation for the Improvement of Education Grants and Programs
The NEA (National Education Association) Foundation supports a variety of efforts by teachers, education support professionals, and higher education faculty and staff to improve student learning in the nation's public schools, colleges, and universities. The web site provides information on grant opportunities, how to apply, related resources, news, etc. -
School Funding Center
The School Funding Center provides a database of thousands of possible grants available to U.S. School. Tips, suggestions and samples about the grant application process is also included. The School Funding Newsletter is a free printed publication mailed monthly to subscribers. Registered web site users may do a free search of the grants database. Fee based grant writing services is also available. -
SchoolGrants
SchoolGrants shares grant information with PK-12 educators and provides tips to those who need them. SchoolGrants lists a variety of opportunities available to elementary and secondary schools and districts across the United States. -
SRA International Grants Web Resources
The Society of Research Administrators International is a nonprofit association dedicated to advancing the profession and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of research administration. The Grant Resources page (Grants Web) is a resource for researching available public, private and Government grants. -
TechLEARNING Grant Information
The TechLEARNING.com site has several sections relating to grants and information on how to get them. The Grants Database allows users to search by selected categories aor browse through over a hundred current and upcoming opportunities . Funding Tips and Resources is for "particularly energetic grant seekers". Another section lists Grants, Contests and Awards is a monthly feature and includes an archive section. -

TOP Projects Grants Database
The Department of Commerce's Technology Opportunities Program (TOP) promotes the widespread availability and use of digital network technologies in the public and non-profit sectors. As part of the Department's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), TOP gives grants for model projects demonstrating innovative uses of network technologies. TOP evaluates and actively shares the lessons learned from these projects to ensure the benefits are broadly distributed across the country, especially in rural and underserved communities. -
U.S. Department of Education Forecast of Funding Opportunities
