ACRL Guidelines for Distance Learning Library Services
The Distance Learning Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries publishes its guidelines. Included are statements on definition, philosophy, resources, services and other key areas. "Ed. note: This edition of the guidelines reflects a greater emphasis on outcomes assessment and was approved by the ACRL Board of Directors and the ALA Standards Committee in fall 2000." -
CLA Guidelines for Library Support of Distance and Distributed Learning in Canada
This postion statement from the Canadian Library Association was approved by Executive Council in February, 1993 and revised on November 24, 2000. "The purpose of the guidelines is to emphasize the importance of planning and delivering effective library services to support Canadian distance and distributed learning programs." -
