As an academic staff member of the University of Wisconsin-Extension, employed with Walworth County, the 4 H Youth Development Program Advisor works in partnership with the Walworth County 4-H Youth Development faculty member in accessing and applying research findings in the social, human and behavioral sciences to design and deliver educational youth development programs. The Program Advisor organizes community resources in support of the positive development of youth, especially in the areas of leadership, interpersonal, and citizenship skills. Current 4-H Youth Development programming in Walworth County for this position is focusing on 4-H community club support, youth leadership development, and support for county wide 4-H committees and events, including the Walworth County Fair. The Program Advisor guides and counsels volunteers associated with the 4-H club program and other program-related groups.
4-H Youth Development programming in Wisconsin has a dual focus – providing educational programs for youth, and youth development leadership for communities. The 4-H community club is Extension's fundamental model for youth programming that is offered in counties throughout Wisconsin. Other models of direct programming provide program access to audiences unaware of or unable to access 4-H community clubs. In addition to these direct programs, 4-H Youth Development personnel play a significant role as community leaders in youth development.

The Aquatic Invasive Species Outreach Specialist will develop outreach, education and communication strategies designed to prevent the introduction and spread of aquatic invasive species in Wisconsin. This position is responsible for fostering and facilitating coordination among stakeholders and partners to ensure a consistent aquatic invasive species outreach strategy for Wisconsin. This person will develop messages, create outreach tools, and employ a variety of techniques to reach and change the behavior of targeted audiences.
The Aquatic Invasive Species Outreach Specialist works in close collaboration with UW-Extension, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and UW Sea Grant.

As a faculty member of the University of Wisconsin-Extension, employed with Lincoln County, the Family Living Educator is a leader in accessing and applying research findings in the family and consumer sciences. The Family Living Educator works with individuals and communities in support of efforts to strengthen the quality of family life, and to increase the families’ abilities to effectively manage change.
A visioning session held with stakeholders in December 2009 identified helping families deal with economic stresses, creating a life skills tool box for families, parenting education and building family relationships as initial steps towards developing a needs based family living educational program for Lincoln County.

The Barron County Nutrition Education Program is a major effort within Cooperative Extension’s Family Living Programs. The aim of Family Living Programs is to enhance the quality of family and community decisions that affect the family and to increase the families’ abilities to adapt to and effect change. Within this broader aim, the purpose of this position is to provide leadership for the Barron County Nutrition Education Program including: teaching at community sites, staff training and supervision (if a nutrition educator is added to the staff in the future), managing the program budget, and collaborating with local agencies to deliver nutrition education to people who are eligible to receive food stamps.

This new position has a two-fold purpose: 1) to aid and support Nutrition Educators as they plan and conduct high quality lessons that meet the needs of diverse audiences and agencies 2) to assist the Nutrition Education Program Administrator in selecting and adapting teaching materials for local use, and in evaluating the effectiveness of the educational programming provided within the Kenosha and Racine Counties Nutrition Education Program. This position will observe Nutrition Educators as they teach and will provide coaching and feedback to build on the strengths of the Nutrition Educators. The Teaching Coordinator will also provide nutrition education programming, as needed.

The Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center Director/4-H Environmental Education Specialist position has a two-fold purpose. First, the Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center Director is the primary administrator of the Center. The Director has primary oversight for physical facilities, budget and finance, programming, personnel, and public relations. The Director provides overall leadership for the Center staff, currently consisting of a Program Coordinator/Assistant Director, Outreach Educator, Office Associate, seasonal naturalists, custodial staff and maintenance staff.
Secondly, as a faculty member of the University of Wisconsin-Extension, the 4-H Environmental Education Specialist is responsible for providing statewide leadership for 4-H Youth Development environmental education programming. Backed by University research, the Specialist incorporates pertinent findings from the social, human and behavioral sciences into educational programs to support the positive development of youth. The Specialist works closely with county Extension faculty and staff and 4-H volunteers in supporting local 4-H Youth Development programs and building statewide relationships related to environmental education.

The goal of this position is preventive and corrective maintenance of the entire electronic portion of the WHA-TV studio, remote, and DTV transmitter facilities. This includes designing plans to integrate new equipment into the existing production system. In addition this position requires supervision of engineering maintenance staff performing all types of maintenance on transmission and television production equipment.
Supervise the preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of all types of electronic equipment.
Uphold preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
Perform repairs and corrective maintenance on all technical equipment used in the WHA-TV transmission and production facilities, including computer-based devices.
