As an academic staff member of the University of Wisconsin-Extension, Cooperative Extension, employed with Dane County, the 4-H Youth Development Coordinator is an educational leader in teaching, accessing and applying research findings in the social, human and behavioral sciences. The 4-H Youth Development Coordinator organizes community resources in support of the inclusive positive development of youth, specifically in areas presently underserved by the 4-H Youth Development program.
The 4-H Youth Development Coordinator is part of the 4-H Youth Development team that works together to create and support an integrated, vibrant 4-H Youth Development program that meets the unique and changing needs of a growing and diverse population in Dane County. The Coordinator ensures equitable access to effective programs through building long-term relationships with culturally, racially and ethnically diverse communities. This will include networking and collaborating with community organizations and other relevant groups, insuring inclusiveness, and developing educational opportunities for youth and adults that are culturally relevant.
